Se c’è una persona con una vasta esperienza nello scatenare mostri sonici contro l’umanità, questa deve essere per forza Andy LaPlegua, leader e bestia mutante della forza della natura electro-industrial Combichrist. Dall’ultimo album la band ha trascorso più di un anno e mezzo in tour supportando i leggendari Rammstein in tutto il tour europeo. Le molteplici esperienze hanno sicuramente lasciato un segno nelle registrazioni del nuovo album che è senza dubbio il più versatile della loro carriera. Il nuovo mostro figlio dei Combichrist e rumoroso, massiccio e diretto, com’era lecito aspettarsi dalla band e comprende brani incendiari come il singolo “Never Surrender” tra le hit più dure mai composte. Allo stesso tempo sono lasciati trapelare nel suono elementi melodici, influenze electro-minimali e lente nebbie dark, oscure e minacciose, che rendono “Making Monster” un inferno del tipo più intenso.
