German Electropop act NOVA-SPES – through self-released albums – managed to create their very own, peculiar style – although a number of German mags labelled them as ‘something between ‘And One’, ‘Depeche Mode’ and ‘Fad Gadget’. "pripyat - home of lilith" deals with a very difficult subject (the nuclear catastrophy of Chernobyl) without leaving club compatibility behind. Songs like “Wir wollen Jetzt!”, “Disappointed” or “Here we Are” are destined to be played in clubs as well as in your home. Fans of well done electronic music will be conquered on the dancefloor while the interested listener will be able to face the dramatic topic of the album. In April 1986, the biggest nuclear catastrophe so far caused mankind to freeze. An explosion inside the reactor of block 4 of the nuclear power plant Tschernobyl caused the meltdown. Pripyat was the town, where most workers of the power plant lived. The town today looks like time stood still – the city stayed what it looked like when it was evacuated. On the 25th anniversary of this catastrophy 3 musicians dedicated their album on this city and their tortured inhabitants… Shortly after the first recordings for this album took place the world was left breathless again: Fukushima…
