Tanit is overall some musicians, young, in the early 80’s. A first 12” in 83, then an album in 84 on which Brian Eno guests during the recording of The Kinks’ Lola. Some gigs too, opening sets for Iggy Pop and Echo and the Bunnymen where the encores featured Philippe Pascal (Marquis de Sade / Marc Seberg) for hallucinating cover versions!
After 4 years only, 1985 saw the end of this promising French Cold Wave act – now, 22 years later a brief reunion te re-record ‘Sister’, one of their first ever songs, but never released! This compilation contains all previously available songs, for the first time ever on CD, plus 7 previously unavailable songs, including the previously mentioned ‘Sisters’.
